Aishwarya Khoche | India

Aishwarya Khoche is an illustrator and visual artist from Pune/Indore. Drawing came in phases for Aishwarya. Ever since she could remember, she drew but was a shy kid and scared of drawing "wrong". Years passed by and drawing stayed on the side as a gig she would occasionally visit. Her first phase was as a kid in school taking part in art competitions and drawing in art class. Her second phase was when she used drawing to cope with the stress of high school.

In the last year of college, she rediscovered her likeness for drawing and went on to create several personal pieces to reflect her emotions. She will be graduating from Symbiosis Institute of Design with a degree in Product Design in the coming few months. Her work is as personal as it can get, and is a channel to express and understand herself, through that she tries to understand the people around her and by that extension, understand the world. Her work surrounds around the themes of anxiety, identity, and personal conflict. She finds solace in observing and drawing people while sitting in cafes, parks, classes, and more, and would probably start drawing you if you sat in front of her.
